Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 21, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By completing registration for any Metro Elite Sports Inc. (“Metro Elite Sports,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) event, the participant (“Participant”) acknowledges that checking “I agree to these terms and conditions” on the registration form constitutes full acceptance of this Agreement. If the Participant is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent on the minor’s behalf.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Adult events require Participants to be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
2.2 Youth events permit minors ages 10 through 17 only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2.3 Teams must register truthfully and comply with all rules issued by Metro Elite Sports.
3. Registration and Payment
3.1 Registration is complete only when you confirm your payment.
3.2 All payments are final and governed by Metro Elite Sports’ separate Refund Policy.
3.3 Metro Elite Sports may deny or revoke participation for non-payment or misrepresentation.
4. Participant Conduct and Ejection Rights
4.1 Participants must exhibit good sportsmanship and respect for officials, staff, volunteers, and other Participants.
4.2 Metro Elite Sports enforces a zero-tolerance policy for violence, harassment, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike behavior.
4.3 Possession or use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or weapons at any Metro Elite Sports event is strictly prohibited.
4.4 Metro Elite Sports reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny entry or remove any Participant or spectator whose behavior, language, or conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with the values and mission of Metro Elite Sports. Such determinations shall be final, and no refund shall be issued.
5. Personal Property
Metro Elite Sports, its officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and venue partners are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property at any event.
6. Third-Party Partners and Vendors
Participants acknowledge that Metro Elite Sports collaborates with independent venues, sponsors, vendors, and contractors. Metro Elite Sports is not liable for its acts, omissions, or services. Goods or services obtained from third parties are used at the Participant’s own risk.
7. Volunteers and Independent Contractors
Referees, scorekeepers, DJs, vendors, and volunteers are independent contractors unless otherwise specified. Metro Elite Sports is not responsible for the conduct or representations of its affiliates.
8. No Agency Relationship
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between Metro Elite Sports and any Participant, volunteer, sponsor, or third party, except those individuals or entities who have been expressly authorized in writing by Metro Elite Sports to act on its behalf.
9. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, slogans, event names, and materials associated with Metro Elite Sports are the exclusive property of Metro Elite Sports Inc. No Participant or third party may use, reproduce, or distribute such intellectual property without prior written consent.
10. Venue Rules and Legal Compliance
Participants and spectators must comply with all posted venue rules, local laws, and regulations. Metro Elite Sports assumes no responsibility for any fines, penalties, or actions resulting from violations of these terms.
11. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Participation in athletic or recreational events involves inherent risks, including injury, illness, and property damage. By registering, the Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks and releases Metro Elite Sports, its affiliates, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, venue partners, and co-hosts from any claims or damages arising from participation, except those resulting solely from Metro Elite Sports’ gross negligence or willful misconduct.
12. Medical Authorization
Participant (or parent/guardian of a minor) authorizes Metro Elite Sports and its representatives to obtain emergency medical care deemed necessary and agrees to be financially responsible for all resulting costs.
13. Health and Communicable Disease Disclaimer
Participant acknowledges the risk of exposure to communicable diseases and voluntarily assumes all risks related to such exposure. Participant agrees to comply with all health and safety measures established by Metro Elite Sports or local authorities.
14. Media Rights and Likeness Usage
Participant grants Metro Elite Sports a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use photographs, video, or audio recordings from any event—including Participant names, likenesses, team names, and voices—for promotional, commercial, or archival purposes without additional consent or compensation. External photographers or media must obtain written authorization before monetizing content captured at Metro Elite Sports events.
15. Communications Consent and Data Usage
Participant consents to receive event updates, marketing, and promotional messages by email, text, or phone. Metro Elite Sports may store your contact information for future communications and analytics purposes. Participants may opt out at any time. We do not sell data to third parties.
16. Event Changes and Force Majeure
Metro Elite Sports reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any event due to weather, acts of God, governmental restrictions, venue issues, or other causes beyond its control. Registrations will be transferred to the rescheduled event or handled in accordance with the Refund Policy. Metro Elite Sports is not liable for consequential or incidental damages arising from such changes.
17. Team Representative Responsibility
The individual registering a team certifies that all team members have reviewed and accepted these Terms, agrees to inform team members of any updates, and accepts responsibility for the team’s compliance, conduct, and payment of fees.
18. Parent or Guardian Responsibility for Minors
Parents or guardians registering a minor agree to these Terms on the minor’s behalf and accept full responsibility for the minor’s participation, conduct, and safety.
19. Electronic Transactions and Signature Recognition
Participant agrees that electronic acceptance of these Terms constitutes a valid and binding signature under the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Texas Business & Commerce Code §322.001 et seq.) and the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act.
20. Indemnification
Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Metro Elite Sports, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, partners, and agents from any claims, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Participant’s actions or breach of these Terms.
21. Jurisdiction, Governing Law, and Venue
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
22. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
23. Entire Agreement and Successors
These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and applicable event-specific waiver, constitute the entire agreement between Participant and Metro Elite Sports. They apply equally to all Metro Elite Sports subsidiaries, affiliates, and officially co-hosted events.
Acceptance:
By checking “I agree to these terms and conditions” during registration, the Participant (or parent/guardian, if applicable) confirms acceptance of this Agreement in its entirety.
